Men’s Prosperity Club Building A Sustainable Community

A community is built by people. Its future depends on the people who believe in its purpose and choose to support its growth.

Reflecting On The Journey So Far

Every journey has a beginning.

For Men’s Prosperity Club, that beginning was a simple conversation between three men in May 2024.

There was no certainty about what would happen next. There was simply a belief that men needed more opportunities to connect, share experiences and support one another.

Since that first Walk & Talk, MPC has grown into a community that has impacted more than 200 men.

Along the way, conversations have taken place, friendships have developed and men have found opportunities to connect with others who understand the importance of community.

The journey so far has shown what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.

Building A Sustainable Future

Growing a community is one challenge.

Building a sustainable future for that community is another.

MPC has experienced the realities of maintaining events, activities and opportunities while working within limited resources.

Over the past two years, MPC has had only one successful funding bid in an increasingly competitive funding landscape.

This experience has encouraged MPC to look beyond traditional funding and explore ways for the community itself to play a greater role in supporting its future.

The goal is to build something that can continue developing through shared commitment, community support and meaningful partnerships.

A Community That Supports Its Own Future

The future of MPC is not only about external funding.

It is also about the people who believe in what the community represents.

Members, supporters and people connected to MPC can all contribute in different ways.

Some may attend events.

Others may volunteer their time, share the work of MPC or make a regular contribution.

Each form of support can help create more opportunities for men to connect and grow.

The aim is not for one person to carry the responsibility.

It is about many people contributing in ways that help strengthen the community together.

The MPC Community Support Campaign

MPC is developing a community fundraising campaign designed to help create a more sustainable future.

The idea is simple.

Instead of relying only on external sources of funding, MPC wants to encourage its own community to contribute towards the activities and opportunities that matter to its members.

The campaign is built around recurring monthly contributions.

The focus is not on one person making a large donation.

It is about many people giving what they can and seeing how those contributions can work together to support the wider community.

Bronze Level £100 Monthly Community Goal

When recurring community contributions reach £100 per month, MPC can work towards bringing back Nature Walk & Talk sessions.

Community supporters at this level will also receive a free pair of socks.

This first milestone represents what can happen when smaller contributions come together around a shared goal.

Silver Level £200 Monthly Community Goal

When recurring community contributions reach £200 per month, MPC can work towards bringing back Game Social activities.

Community supporters at this level will also receive a free T shirt.

The aim is to create more opportunities for men to meet, relax and build relationships through shared experiences.

Gold Level £300 Monthly Community Goal

When recurring community contributions reach £300 per month, MPC can work towards bringing back Personal Development Workshops.

Community supporters at this level will also receive a free hoodie.

These workshops can provide further opportunities for men to learn, reflect and develop alongside others in the community.

Merchandise That Represents The Community

The future of MPC is not only about events and fundraising.

Merchandise can also help people represent the community and share its message.

From socks and T shirts to hoodies, MPC merchandise gives supporters another way to show their connection with the movement.

As the community grows, merchandise can help create greater visibility while giving supporters something tangible that represents their involvement.

Building Stronger Partnerships

Partnerships will also play an important role in the future of Men’s Prosperity Club.

MPC is aiming to develop sponsorship opportunities with businesses that share an interest in community support and creating positive opportunities for people.

One of the relationships being explored is with Prem Property.

Through potential collaboration, MPC hopes to create stronger connections and open pathways for vulnerable individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges or loneliness.

The wider goal is to help more people find meaningful connection and access to a supportive brotherhood that encourages them to become the best versions of themselves.

Strengthening Our Partnership With Samaritans

MPC also plans to strengthen its working partnership with Samaritans.

One area of development is training members of the community to become active listeners.

This can help equip community members with skills that allow them to listen to others and respond with greater understanding when someone needs to talk.

MPC also plans to explore workshops connected with Samaritans and mental health awareness.

Through continued collaboration, the aim is to strengthen community support across Birmingham and the Black Country.

Growing Across Birmingham And The Black Country

The future of MPC is about reaching more people while remaining connected to the community that started it.

Through partnerships, outreach, events and community support, MPC aims to create more opportunities for men across Birmingham and the Black Country.

Growth is not simply about reaching a larger number of people.

It is about creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect and making sure that the community continues to have a positive purpose.

Becoming Advocates For Mental Health

A sustainable community is also built through people who are willing to speak about why mental health matters.

MPC wants its community members to become advocates for open conversations around mental health within their own communities.

When men feel more comfortable talking about their experiences, they can also encourage others to speak.

This creates the potential for the impact of MPC to extend beyond its own events and reach people who may not yet be part of the community.

The Next Chapter Of MPC

The story of Men’s Prosperity Club is still being written.

From three men having a conversation in May 2024 to a community that has impacted more than 200 men, the journey has already shown what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose.

The next chapter is about sustainability.

It is about building community support.

It is about developing partnerships.

It is about creating more opportunities.

It is about strengthening connections across Birmingham and the Black Country.

Most importantly, it is about making sure that the purpose behind MPC continues to grow.

Be Part Of The Journey

Men’s Prosperity Club was created because one conversation had the power to start something meaningful.

Now, every conversation, every event, every partnership and every contribution can help shape what comes next.

Whether you support the community through your time, your involvement, your voice or a regular contribution, every form of support can play a part in building its future.

Together, we can continue creating a community where men connect, grow and support one another.
